Title: "Grace to Sustain"
Delivered by: Pastor Annette Torres
Scripture Reading: 2 Corinthians 12: 1-9
Text: (2 Cor. 12:9)
9. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient (enough) for thee: for my strength (God's) is made perfect in weakness (my weakness, your weakness, our weaknesses). Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Pastor Annette:
The brother is saying that he is going to glory, praise God during his trials, because God is going to move on his behalf in a supernatural way that's going to give him the victory.
Introduction
God 's grace is sufficient (enough) to save and to sustain (keep) the believer. Grace (divine love and protection) or (mercy) carries forward His Salvation. (Rom 6:14) says:
For Sin shall not have dominion (control) over you, for you are not under the Law, but under grace. (divine love and protection).
When a person is made a child of God, he does not receive a stock of grace to last him or her for the rest of their lives, NO, we have Grace for that day only; we must receive additional grace each day from our heavenly Father.
*We receive Salvation upon believing on Christ once, but Grace is received day by day. We need to draw upon the reservior of blessings from God's Grace. No matter what the circumstances are, by His Grace God infuses into the Christian, a sufficiency (enough) of divine strength, to do what we need to do to stand. God has a store house of His Grace to supply. Grace is vast (unmeasurable); it will never run out; and God's grace is open for our use.
*God's grace is more than able to keep us, protect us, heal us, and deliver us. Draw from His well; call on His name!! Praise God!!
*When should we call on his Grace?
1. In Life's Temptations:
By temptation, we mean, enticed to sin. Temptation is something within or without a person to get him or her to stop being what they ought to be: "A Christian." The Devil wants you to stop following God and follow what is wrong.
*A Real Christian can never be happy as long as sin stands between him and God.
1. What are some things that can come between us and God?
Point (A): Maybe your sin is that you have become cold in your heart towards God. God.
" (B): Maybe you have been living a prayerless life.
" (C): Maybe you have neglected to study God's word.
" (D): Maybe you have bee with holding God's money, and using it for yourself.
(KEY) Whatever your sin, confess it to God, and ask him for forgiveness and restoration to his favor (Grace) and fellowship.
(1 John 1:9) Says, If we Confess our Sins, He (God) is Faithful and Just to forgive us our Sins, and cleanse us from all, all, all unrighteousness.
*When Shall we Ask for God's Grace?
2. In Life's Troubles
Problems, trials, tests, perplexities are always confronting us, and causing us concern. Blows fall on us when we least expect them. We are to expect trouble to come our way sooner or later, it is a part of our human and Christian experience (Job 5:7-8). That is why Jesus said to us that His Grace is Sufficient (enough) to keep us. So that we can continue to grow and follow after Jesus.
Point (A): There are all kinds of troubles
1. Trouble of our Body, Mind, and Soul.
2. There are troubles that we bring on ourselves; and there are troubles that others bring on us.
*Expect and be prepared for the test, which is common to humans. Don't try to manage your life without God's help. We need His Strength and Blessing.
*God knows all about our troubles and want to help us through them
Point (B): Jesus says to us: Call upon me in the day of trouble and I will deliver thee and thou shalt glorify me. (Psalm 50:15). Even though you may not know the reason for your trouble, God has a purpose in permitting it.
Such as: or (For What Reason)
1. Keeping you from Sinning
2. Helping you to discover His will.
3. Causing you to love Him more, and obey Him better.
In answer to Prayer, God delivers from trouble.
HOW??
1. In His time.
2. In His way.
3. And by whatever means He see's best. When we call upon Him, He delivers us from all our troubles.
REMEMBER: God's Grace is Sufficient for us, and God will deliver us from all our troubles, but we must call upon him, and seek call upon him, and Seek His Grace everyday. Amen.

Scripture Reading: (Titus 2: 1-15)
Text: (Titus 2: 11-14) For the Grace of God that bringth Salvation, hath appeared to all men, teaching us that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly (serious), righteously (morally right), Godly (devout); (devoted to one God), in the present world, looking for that blessed hope and the Glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity (sin), and purify unto Himself, a peculiar people, zealous of God's works.
Introduction
Our text puts the Christian life in it's proper setting, between a great fact of the the past and a great event in the future:
1. The fact of the past is the appearance of Grace.
2. The event of the future is the appearing of the Lord.
Grace does not just give us a theory and enable us to take hold of it's lessons. Grace disciplines us in order that our lives may be transformed.
Grace instructing, educating, admonishing, discipling, molding, and forming character. Grace means to school and train.
(A) Grace does not involve anything that we an earn, but it does include much that we can learn.
(B) Grace says to us: "Do this," and "Don't do that."
(C) Grace encourages us to do what we should.
(D) Grace chastises us when we fail.
I. In the School of Grace, Christians are taught that, Living for Christ is serious business. The lessons learned in this school contribute to our happiness and usefulness in this life.
*God's Grace teachers us two (2) very important lessons:
1. To deny certain things: According to (Titus 2: 12), there are two things that are to be laid aside and they are the epitome of all that is sinful:
(A) Un Godliness means whatever is against or without God. Anything that crowds God out of your life. "What's crowding your life?"
(B) God's Grace has appeared to school us in avoiding the error of living without God in our thoughts, words, and deeds. Grace teaches us to lay aside or deny anything that's against God.
2. Worldly lust. Worldly lusts includes selfishness, pride, sensuality, and the desires or longing that attach themselves to things of this earthly life.
*Worldly lust are those things that attract and pull us in the wrong direction. In the School of Grace, we learn to say no to the things that drag us down, and tie us up.
*If we never learn anything else in the School of Grace, let it teach us how to say no and mean it.
II. The School of Grace teaches us to do certain things.
(A) With regard to self, we should live our Christian lives soberly; and be serious about living right.
(B) Each Christian is expected to exercise self-control in eating, drinking, thinking, speaking, and acting. We should endeaver to control our desires and do our best to resist the temptation of Satan.
(C) With regards to others, we should live righteously. Living soberly has to do with rightness on the inside. Living righteously, has reference to rightness in relationship to others. We must be correct in character before we can be correct in our conduct.
*Living righteously is "Simply the Outliving of the Indwelling Christ."
We should be just in our dealing; charitable in our judgment; blameless in our conduct; and active for the spiritual spiritual welfare of others.
(D) With regards to God:
We should live Godly. Godliness has an internal and external phase. The internal phase consists of a right knowledge of God. A complete trust in Him; a cheerful subjection of will to Him; a fervent love for Him, and a genuine longing for the full enjoyment of Him. What ever we do, it should give God Glory. Amen.

Text: Genesis 6: 1-22
Introduction
As we look at our scripture today, we see that the times of Noah look a lot like our world today. People are doing
just whatever they want to do; whatever they think might make them happy, or bring pleasure to themselves. They do it regardless to if
its right or wrong. They use the saying: "If it feels good, do it." Sin has a way of making one feel good, and of bringing great pleasure.
But remember, sinful pleasure is only temporary. The sins of the people (of Noah's day) was so great that God said it grieved Him in His
heart; and that He was going to destroy everything that liveth upon the Earth. So, God is telling Noah that he is the only man on the whole
Earth, that is still listening and following His Commandments, and keeping a Godly standard.
Profile of Noah:
The story of Noah's life involves not one, but two great and tragic floods. The world in Noah's day was flooded with evil.Of God's people, only Noah remembered the God of Creation, Perfection, and Love. God's response to this severe situation was a "120-Year-
Long" last chance, during which He had Noah build a graphic illustration of the message of his life. Noah's obedience meant a long-term
commitment to a project. Many of us have trouble sticking to any project, whether or not, it is directed by God. it is interesting that the
length of length of Noah's obedience was greater than the life span of people today.
Key:
Our only comparable long term project is our very lives. Also, this is one great challenge Noah's life gives us to live an entire lifetimeof obedience and gratitude.
Points to Remember:
With all the sin all around him, Noah was the only follower of God left in his generation. He was a man of Patience, consistency, and obedience.
Lessons to Learn from Noah's Life:
1. God is faithful to those who obey Him.
2. God does not always protect us from trouble, but covers for us in spite of trouble.
3. Obedience is a long-term commitment.
4. A person may be faithful, but his sinful nature always travels with him.
Key Verse to Remember (Genesis 6:22):
Thus, did Noah, according to all that God commanded him, so he did.
Let's take these examples found in this chapter on being a Christian, and obeying God when sin and disobedience is all around. When it seems
that you are the only one doing what is right, just remember to follow God. Amen.
